Hitman
Updated
Another offering from industry stalwarts Microgaming, Hitman is the video slot adaptation of the world famous stealth video game. The Hitman, Agent 47, is an icon in the video game world, having been around since 2000. It is no wonder that his theme and influence have successfully carried over to the world of gaming slots.
There have been several attempts to carry over titles and themes from video games but not many were as successful as Hitman. The ominous colours and gripping display absorb players as they feel like they too are in the seedy underworld of contract assassinations. The excitement of the game is then only improved by the adrenaline associated with winning. A powerful combo for any game.
Visually Gripping
The whole premise of the game is an elite Hitman, a professional contract killer hired by secret agents to take out high level and high profile targets. Drawing on that theme this video slot game provides gripping visuals of weapons, the Hitman and all the paraphernalia associated with that seedy world. The polished and sophisticated display is accompanied by an optional soundtrack to truly immerse the player. All this is added to by the effective little animations offered by some symbols when they land on a winning line.

Hitting the Reels: Great Multipliers
Hitman presents 5 reels and 15 pay lines, offering three bonus rounds. The Hitman symbol, with his two guns in his hands, acts as the wild symbol. It substitutes for any other symbols, aside from the laptop and 18, on a winning line to increase the pay outs. If he appears on reels 2, 3 or 4 he will expands to cover the entire reel, thus increasing the chances on a winning line. The 18 Ball, like the 18 age rating on the game, acts as the scatter symbol. Three or more of these symbols appearing on any of the reels activates the free spins bonus game. All wins are doubled during this 18 round bonus. The coin sizes range from 0.01 to 75.00 and the bet range runs from 0.01 up to 0.25.
Massive Maximums: Max of 270,000 Coins!
The maximum pay-out occurs in one of the three bonus games on offer. The Contract Bonus game, based on assassination contracts, is triggered when three or more bonus laptop symbols appear on the reels during a normal spin. In the game the player chooses between five potential assassination targets. The player receives an instant win for selecting the target, then another win for selecting the weapon of assassination and finally when the assassination is carried out, the winnings are subject to a random multiplier. In a perfect situation the player could win up to 270,000 coins. There’s nothing disappointing with that number.
Specials around: Three Bonus Rounds
A major draw for this game are the three bonus games available. Three scatters, the 18 ball, bring up the 18 round free spin bonus which provides a double bonus on all winnings. The presence of three Insignia symbols triggers a simple pick and win game. Simply pick one of the three insignias to collect and instant win. Three laptop symbols present trigger the Contact game where the real big bonuses can be found. Unfortunately there are no scatter pay-outs available in Hitman.
Our Take
The Hitman Slot game has been quite a success among many players. The awesome red and black colour palette with awesome graphics and animations, the intriguing soundtrack and the presence of exciting bonus games combine to provide a worthwhile and complete gaming experience. As expected from a Microgaming slot game, Hitman ticks all the necessary boxes. Fans of the original video game will instantly identify with this video slot. It is a winner.
