As the name suggests, this version of video poker focuses on ace cards and face cards with four of a kind hands of kings, queens, jacks and aces paying the highest and a simple pair of jacks bringing up the bottom of the pay table. Aces and Faces Poker is ideal for beginners that are new to online video poker and will also keep experienced online slots and video poker fans happy for hours. Check out the rest of our in depth Aces and Faces review for more insight including gameplay and tips on this fun video poker variation.

Gameplay and Rules

As with just about every great video poker game out there, Aces and Faces starts off after a bet is made with an initial five card deal. The player can then decide which cards to keep and which cards to get rid of in order to get new cards. Players can get rid of just one card or all five, depending on the quality of the initial deal.

The game then replaces the cards that have been discarded before tallying up the resulting hand combination. The pay table shows all the different hand combinations along with their corresponding payout value. The best hand pays out the highest amount for four of a kind combinations and players can also be paid out for pair combinations.

Microgaming have also included an additional bonus round which can be played directly after any winning hand. The bonus game is very simple and all that players need to do is select one card from four randomly drawn cards, all face down. The game also shows a ‘dealer card’ face up. Once players have chosen their face down card, the card is revealed and if the value is higher than the dealer card the player wins. You can effectively double your winnings from this bonus game but you can also lose whatever you have won.

Aces and Faces Poker offers smooth and fast gameplay with a simple interface and very nice graphics and sound.
